By MARY C. MoRGAN AND JEAN J. SZAFIP A QUANTITATIVE method for the separation of morphologically intact ftinctional platelets from whole blood is not available at the present time. Methods have been described which use differential centrifugation or sedimentation, with and without washing procedures. The prolonged manipulations required with these procedures to insure total recovery leads to platelet dlamage.
